ROSES: Maid Marion and Robin Hood – Boho Chic

The classic English folklore couple.

Maid Marion aids her secret lover Robin Hood in his crusade against the King, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.  This woodland couples union would be surrounded by neutral colours with pops of blush and yellows.

Hence these beautiful roses of toffee and sunshine, with touches of feverfew herbs and wheat.

Fun fact – Separated from her lover, she dresses as a page “and ranged the wood to find Robin Hood,” who was himself disguised, so that the two begin to fight when they meet. As is often the case in these ballads, Robin Hood loses the fight to comical effect, and Marian only recognizes him when he asks for quarter
