5″ Rhipsalis Pilocarpa “Bearded”
$20.00Rhipsalis pilocarpa is a small shrub cactus found growing mostly on rocks and tree trunks in the tropics. Coming from a genus with an abundant species, the Rice cactus attracts attention with its unique set of stems that may become dangly over time. An ideal indoor plant that’s easy to care for.
The rice cactus light needs to be bright and filtered. If you wish to grow the plant indoors, be sure to place it in a humid room with a fair level of temperature.
Allow the sail to maintain moisture, drying out only moderately between watering. The trick is to water thoroughly, making sure that the excess drains out completely. You may want to check first when the top inch of the soil feels dry to the touch. Avoid soggy soil as this can cause root rot in the long term.
This fun little plant has white hairs all over, making it seems as though it is bearded.
Hoya Varieties
$15.00 – $30.00The Hoya varieties are a luscious succulent that is of tropical descent. For years, it may have been a staple ornamental plant in many oriental households. With its drought-tolerant characteristic and long-lived foliage, Hoyas are a must-have in your garden and indoor plant collections!
Light requirements ranges from bright indirect light to a bit of full sun, but never to the extent that it can ruin the plant’s delicate foliage. Light is an important aspect of growing any variegated specimen, and it is certainly crucial especially if you wish to maintain those beautiful streaks of colors in the leaves.
As an epiphytic plant, less is more when it comes to watering. The key to avoiding overwatering – which can be fatal to the plant – is by checking first if the top inch of the soil feels completely dry to the touch.
It is ideal to water Hoya once every two weeks, but you need to adjust your watering when it is summer as the plant may need more moisture, and then reduce it in the onset of winter. Be mindful of your Hoya watering needs, and do not overdo it as it can lead to root rot.
8″ Grape Ivy
$40.00Gorgeous grape ivy produces luscious full greenery and is more easy to care for then regular ivy.
Grape ivy prefers a medium to bright indirect light and being a tropical vine, grape ivy doesn’t like conditions below 50°F (10°C). It has medium watering needs, too, meaning it likes the soil to dry out just a bit before you water it again.
6″ ZZ Sansevieria
$40.00 – $80.00The Zamioculcas zamiifolia, or ZZ Plant, is a tropical perennial native to Eastern Africa. It has become popular worldwide in recent years due to its tolerance of a wide range of conditions—a highly dependable houseplant, it can tolerate low light and has low water requirements. Sometimes nicknamed the “Zanzibar Gem,” the ZZ grows smooth, naturally shiny leaflets that range from bright lime in their youth to an emerald green in their maturity.
Though it can tolerate lower indirect light, the ZZ thrives in medium to bright indirect light. It will be happy with a minimum of six hours per day and can tolerate up to 12 during the warmer months. It is important, however, to keep it away from intense, direct sun.
Water your ZZ Plant every 2-3 weeks, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. Signs that it is thirsty include wilting, wrinkled leaves, and dry potting mix, while wet mix or yellowing and mushy leaves signal overwatering and root rot.

Scindapsis Silver Satin Varieties
$12.00 – $35.00Scindapsus pictus, or silver vine, is a species of flowering plant in the arum family Araceae, native to India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and the Philippines. Growing to 3 m tall in open ground, it is an evergreen climber.
This is one of the more straightforward indoor plants you can own in terms of care needs. In five years of owning mine, they’ve never been attacked by any insect pest and maintenance has just consisted of removing the occasional yellow leaf
Truly a versatile plant when it comes to light levels. They can deal with direct sunlight in a South facing window if given some protection and adjustment time (don’t suddenly move it from a dark location to one with full, intense Summer sun).
They’re not overly thirsty and can deal with some drought if it happens. They’ll be happiest if you let around half or two thirds of the soil fully dry out before you water them again.
This gorgeous silver plant comes in a nice ceramic pot to compliment. Perfect pairing.
Begonia Varieties
$15.00 – $25.00There are many types of begonias all flowering plants in the family Begoniaceae. They are found from Arunachal Pradesh to southeast China, and has been introduced to Bangladesh, Cuba, and Hispaniola. There are over 500 cultivars in the Begonia Group of houseplants.
These plants are grown almost exclusively for their foliage—their blooms tend to be small and less showy and many growers pinch off blooms to maintain breathtaking leaf displays. If planting outdoors, do so in May after frosts, but plant anytime indoors. With a moderate growth rate, begonias may grow to less than 12 inches in a year.
Begonias like bright, indirect light year-round. Because they are not aggressive bloomers, they can tolerate less light than other garden bed begonias and will thrive under fluorescent lights.
Let the soil surface become dry to the touch before watering. But don’t let the soil become overly dry or the plant will begin to wither. The soil should be watered to feel slightly, but evenly moist.
Euphorbia Varieties (Crown of Thorns)
$20.00 – $45.00Crown of Thorns, (Euphorbia milii), also called Christ thorn plant. Native to Madagascar, Crown of thorns is a popular houseplant and is grown in warm climates as a garden shrub. Flowering is year-round but most plentiful in wintertime in the Northern Hemisphere sweet little peach, red or yellow flowers depending on the variety.
Crown of thorns should get full sun, the more the better to encourage continuous blooms. South or West is best.
Only water your crown of thorns when the top inch of soil has dried, however when in flower ensure the plant has enough water to avoid the blooms drying up and falling.
One of my favourite plants for its unique thorns through out the entire stem and beautiful puckered lip like flowers. – Kelly
6″ Shingle Plant
$75.00Rhaphidophora hayi is a fascinating tropical climber with a unique growing habit. It’s commonly called the shingle plant because its leaves lie flat against its support, overlapping like shingles on a roof or wall. While it was a rarely-seen houseplant in the past, it’s become quite trendy and widely available.
This plant will need tons of bright, indirect light. Aim for no less than 70% bright, indirect light. They are pretty hardy, but overexposure to direct sunlight will burn their delicate leaves and possibly harm the plant. The shingle plant can tolerate low light conditions and do very well with artificial light, making them a great addition to your home or terrarium.
This plant must be kept moist through spring and summer, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between watering’s to avoid root rot.
Since this is a climbing plant, misting every few days is also very important for its growth. During the winter you should cut way back on watering, but continue to mist regularly.
This plant comes in the plastic grower pot provided.
