ZZ Plant 6” Pot

The Zanzibar plant is a low maintenance slow growing house plant characterized by their shinny, wide, oval shape leaves on an upward stem.  Their leaves look so waxy that they are often mistaken for being artificial.

ZZ require very little light, so you will often find them in stairwells or lower lit rooms like basements.  Because they are low light plants they do not require a lot of light and can tolerate drought like circumstances.  Personal experience has me watering mine about once a month.
