8″ Aeschynathos Plant

The Aeschynanthus lipstick vine has pointy, waxy leaves and blooms with bright clusters of flowers. Blossoms are a vivid red, emerging from a maroon bud. Lipstick plants are easy to care for and will continuously flower with proper care. As the plant originates from the tropics, it enjoys high humidity.

Too much water can damage the growing aeschynanthus. Water the plants moderately, and do not soak the soil, or you will risk root rot and fungal problems. If your leaves turn yellow and begin to fall off, the lipstick plant likely needs more water, light, or both. Avoid placing the aeschynanthus in direct sunlight or full shade. The plant needs bright light for a portion of the day, but not all day.
