5″ Dendrobium Orchids
Dendrobium is a genus of mostly epiphytic and lithophytic orchids in the family Orchidaceae. It is a very large genus, containing more than 1,800 species
Indoors they’ll likely need to be by your brightest window—preferably a south-facing window—to bloom well.
To determine when you should water, simply stick your finger in the medium. If it feels wet, wait to water until it has dried out slightly. During the winter months, you can put a few more days in between your regular watering’s, but don’t let the medium dry out entirely.
Dendrobium need cool night temperatures in the fall and winter months in order to stimulate flower bud development. Maintain day temperatures of 70°F to 75°F (21°C to 24°C), and night temperatures of 50°F to 60°F (10°C to 15°C) until buds appear.
