6″ Pilea

The plant of many names, also known as the Chinese money plant, the friendship plant or the pancake plant.  These lily pad looking plants are easy to grow and fun to share.  In the right conditions, these plants can create multiple runners that sprout new plants side by side that can easily be removed from one pot and placed in another.  Hence the friendship plant name.

Pilea need a brightly lit area, full sun however watch out because direct light as it can cause burning on their leaves.   Watering should be done regularly about once a week or every ten days as these plants do not like to dry out for long.  If the soil is too dry it stresses the plant out and it will drop its leaves.
